I’m Denzil Rose; teacher, gardener, blacksmith, designer, creator. I have a passion for hands on education, learning traditional skills, and the beauty of the natural world. I bring a wide variety of skills from a varied background across multiple industries. I love to work with my hands to create something unique, beautiful, and functional.

I attended Niagara College’s School of horticulture, graduating with honours in the Greenhouse Technician program, followed by NC’s Commercial Cannabis Production post-graduate program. During my time at NC, I also worked at a commercially licensed cannabis greenhouse, completed a co-op through the City of Kingston as a horticulturalist/landscaper, and worked in the campus greenhouse and cannabis lab.

I have been consulting in green industries related projects since 2017 as Rosebud Consulting. My time working in green industries has brought me to work with a local medical and gourmet mushroom farm; as a grower, and head of research and development, and with a local food sovereignty charity Loving Spoonful; as a community gardener and running markets. I have also worked in retail cannabis as a product knowledge specialist in multiple dispensaries.

I am also an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certified Technological education teacher after completing my B.Ed at Queens University. I specialize in teaching high school Green Industries and other technological education courses.

I am a self taught blacksmith, bladesmith, and fabricator. I love learning new skills and trying new things. I hope that my work can inspire others.
